Since the 2010 earthquake, I have returned regularly to Haiti. Sometimes I am on assignment, sometimes I am just spending time with my friends, sometimes I conduct photojournalism workshops with students.

ABOUT
SEA, PLAINS, & MOUNTAINS BEYOND MOUNTAINS
My travels in Haiti have taken me to nearly every corner of the country: from the Citadel in the North, to the streets of Cite Soleil and Petion-ville, to the offshore fishermen of Ile-a-Vache, and the cocoa plantations of Jeremie and Dame Marie. It is a spectacular country and sadly misunderstood. Behind the misery you see in the news is a mystery; behind the faces, a place that even the wisest cannot comprehend. Perhaps that is why I return and subject myself to it? Not even those who rule the country understand it – least of all me – and I enjoy seeking what I cannot find.
